Flourishing iclic 2017
2Cor 8:1-3- Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves' It was a special service and an opportunity to lavishly thank God for his abundant supply of grace. Briefly exhorting the brethren on 'GRACE', the Man of God said this is the ability of God in a man's Spirit. The grace of God makes things work for you. It makes you uniquely different and grants you favour. Be strong in the Grace, take advantage of the grace. In his own words 'two things I see in this Church - 'Faith and Grace'. Furthermore, you haven't done this to rest.......recieve new dreams and new visions. His excellency, the Executive Governor of Edo State, Nigeria took advantage of the opportunity to specially thank God for his victory in the Gubernatorial elections. He was visibly excited to partake of the strong grace in the Church which he personally attested to with particular reference to the building project. The Man of God prayed for him pronouncing God's blessings in his life and in Edo State.
CULTIVATING A SPIRIT OF PRAYER There is a Spirit of Prayer. It means when the Holy Spirit of God brings an overwhelming atmosphere of prayer into your life and what happens is, You breadth Prayer. When this happens, it can stay on you for months , or even a year. You just experience the Spirit of Prayer that rests on you and influences you over a period of time. DOES IT HAPPEN WHEN HE CHOSES TO OR IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT? EMPHATICALLY YES! It is not just when He chooses to. It is when You Invite by Desire, the Spirit of Prayer. He said, ''He will give to drink the thirsty soul..'' . If you are thirsty, He will give to you to drink. So when you are thirsty for God like this, and you begin that fellowship of prayer, it wouldn't be long before you discover that Spirit of Prayer. He'd bring that atmosphere and influence into your life. You'd find that you are constantly praying. Every now and then, he draws your heart into His Thinking, into His Motivations, into His Visions, into His Plans and Purposes to express Himself through you in Prayer. ~Rev (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome
