The British government handed over power to Ugandans on the 9th October 1962. To commemorate this, is a sculpture erected in the city center, a symbol of great significance that depicts independence from the British colonial masters. The sculptural piece, which is a man in bondage carrying a toddler with both arms raised illustrates the historical situation under the colonial masters and the freedom that Uganda enjoys since the independence date. It’s a symbol that Ugandans are able to exploit their full potential and that the sky is not the limit. #FALFIMPACTAFRICA #FALFAFRICADAY #25THMAYEVOLUTIONAFRICA
