When I first heard this phrase from the esteemed Pastor Amaechi when he visited us in the UK, my mind was blown as it went against everything I was brought up to believe. He read from Genesis and how God cursed the ground for Adam's sake, and what was that curse? "By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food" (Genesis 3:17) Meaning its a cursed life to work for everything you have. To have everything result from your hustling is not God's perfect plan. This is not to say that God does not want us to work, absolutely not, one of the first things God took man to do was to work and take care of the garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). So what is God getting at? The plan is for grace to amplify your efforts and produce for you a far far far greater outcome than your works could ever produce. For it to be evident that it could only have been an intervention of divinity for you to be experiencing the outcome you have. Look at Joseph, God prospered the man to the point even his pagan master attributed the results to the God he served. There was something undeniably miraculous about his work. So what has brought about this post? This past weekend I experienced the divine provision of God, where God paid for my flight, accomodation and food for a trip he sent me on. A few years ago, I would have laughed at this thought out of unbelief 😅 Just to point out where I was with my convictions those many years ago, the Holy Ghost had to say this to me to break down the mental stronghold, "Salvation came for free, Righteousness came for free, the gift of the Holy Ghost came for free, what makes you think you need to work for anything to have it, if these greater things that you couldn't even try to work to attain came for free?" This shattered the notion "Nothing in life comes for free" entirely and this year more than ever, I have experienced the divine provision of God in amazing ways and I am just so grateful ❤️ #lifewithpastorstar #christianblog
