Outreach to Underpriviledged Children in Egypt GYLF ambassadors in Egypt had a special outreach to underpriviledged children in Cairo, Egypt. Their goal was to impact them with the word of God. They spent time teaching the children about the Lord Jesus and his love for the people of the world. Many of them believe the Word of God and gave their hearts to Christ. They were also filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues. Several items were also given out to the children; food, drinks and Rhapsody of Realities for kids. Surely it was an impactful meeting for them. Hallelujah! #GYLF #ImpactwithPastorChris www.globalyouthleadersforum.org

DAILY NUGGETS *FASTING — THE REAL ESSENCE Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly (Joel 2:15). People fast for different reasons. Some fast because they want to get an answer from God, thinking their fasting would compel Him to answer them. They see fasting as a means of getting God to do something He ordinarily wouldn’t have done, had they not fasted. That’s the wrong idea about fasting. I do fast, but I don’t fast to get God to do something for me. If you’re fasting so that God will do something for you, then you’re doing it for the wrong reason, because He’s done everything for you already. He already said, “All things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21); so what then is the purpose of fasting? You should fast, primarily, because its good spiritual exercise designed to bring the flesh under subjection of the spirit. Fasting gets you attuned to the Spirit to hear what God is saying, and be guided to do His will and follow His purpose for your life. Fasting helps you to align with God’s will and purpose, and positions you rightly for God’s Word to come to you. God may have been speaking to you and you may have not been picking His signals. However, through fasting you become sensitive and ready to receive the guidance and direction He’s giving you. Secondly, and very importantly, you should fast as an act of worship to the Lord. You can decide you just want to give the Lord a lot of attention, to love and cherish Him for some number of days or over a period. At such times you stay away from everything else, especially food, and just focus on Him, fellowshipping with Him. As you prepare for the coming year, take time to fast and pray; but let it be an opportunity to love and appreciate the Lord. Let it be a time to celebrate the Word and make your faith effectual by acknowledging the good things the Lord has done in you, and for you, in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
Celebrate His Goodness As the year 2017 draws to a fruitful end, it’s important that we make out time to thank God for His mighty blessings in our lives. Make today a special day of rejoicing, expressing profuse gratitude to the Lord for His blessings throughout 2017. There’re four important ways you’re to celebrate and thank the Lord today. First is through your prayer of thanksgiving; express yourself to Him with thanksgiving from your heart. Secondly, worship and praise Him profusely and ecstatically from your spirit. Thirdly, celebrate Him with your testimony—your testimony of thanksgiving. Testify of what He’s done in your life; eulogize Him for the joy of the Spirit that’s in your heart. Thank Him for the foundation of your spirit; the foundation of faith that God gave you. Celebrate the hope, and other blessings in your spirit. Lastly, celebrate Him with an offering. We worship God with our offerings because He’s God. Your offering to God is an oblation, a testimony of your faith in Him. Give the Lord a special thanksgiving offering today, and project yourself into the greater future He’s planned for you. Choose certain times or hours of the day to have celebration sessions alone or with your family. Make it an entire day of celebration, because you’re grateful for all that Christ is to you; you acknowledge and appreciate His grace at work in you. Don’t spend time thinking about some unattained goals or “disappointments” you may have experienced in the year. Rather, celebrate Jesus, trusting that He’s already perfected all that concerns you. Rejoice! Shout and dance around in your room, glorifying the Name of Jesus. Celebrate His life that’s in you. Celebrate His Word that’s working mightily in you. Celebrate the prosperity, health, peace, joy, victories and life of glory that God has given you.
PRAYER Thank you precious Father, for your blessings upon my life, my family, and everything that concerns me; you’ve decorated my life with your glory. You plucked me out of trouble and satisfied my desires with good things; for these, I rejoice and adore your majesty. All glory, dominion and praise are yours, now and forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
📹There are 3 Categories of People when it comes to Thanksgiving: 1) People who can't wait to give thanks because of all the Lord has done. 2) People who acknowledge that the Lord has been good, but there are yet some things that have not finished and when He finishes it, they will thank Him. 3) People who are currently in the midst of trouble and are wondering "HOW?" while they are in the midst of challenge, they can give thanks. This is how you ought to give thanks: 1) TESTIFY - Give your testimony of God’s goodness in your life; 2) ATTITUDE - Come with excitement. Learn to make your body conform to your spirit. You should leap out of bed that morning with an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. 3) BRING SOMEONE TO HEAR 4) BRING AN OFFERING - Deliberate on what you want to give to the Lord. Give an offering that is worthy of what the Lord has done for you. Source: @CEBVGrp #USAREGION #Thanksgiving #celebratingPastorChris #ChristmasEveWithPastorChris #BLWCelebrates30years
UPDATE ON THE NGO REGULATORY BILL! Great News at the Public Hearing Today..You need to read this! The #InnerCityMission For Children was one of the first organizations to submit a memoranda to the House of representatives committee on Civil Society Development & Development Partners on the NGO Bill. At the public hearing held in Abuja at the Senate Today , a joint development sector strategy session was held to harmonize positions on presentations at the hearing. Your InnerCityMission made presentations against the passage of the proposed bill on two grounds at the public hearing at the Senate in Abuja, 1. At least Eight (8) existing regulatory frameworks were highlighted. The House was advised to strengthen, empower and carry out its oversight function on existing Ministries, Departments and Agencies responsible for these. 2. With sections 26 (1) and 27 (1), The bill seeks to make Non profits an appendage of Government , it demands CSOs to seek approval before projects can be executed or lives saved, thereby robbing the sector of its independence and flexible ability to serve it's constituents, who are mainly indigent households and vulnerable groups . The victory of TODAY is that the Chairman of the committee at the Public hearing asked if there was anyone at the hearing who was in support of the bill...THERE WAS NONE...Glory to God! Lets Be Vigilant...The rejection of the bill by CSOs, however, does not automatically translate to its death. The bill has passed the 2nd Reading and at the 3rd Reading ,the House of Assembly would decide its fate when the report for today is being presented It is total Victory ... Our position is that the bill and it's entire 58 sections be set aside. KINDLY SHARE THIS MESSAGE...Say #NototheNGOBill #EndChildpovertynow
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES. SET YOUR ATTENTION AND AFFECTION ON HIM Sunday, December 10th Pastor Chris LOOKING UNTO JESUS the author and finisher of our faith… (Hebrews 12:2). Acts 3 tells a remarkable story of how a few weeks after the ascension of Jesus, Peter and John were going into the temple at the hour of prayer. They met a man who was lame from his mother’s womb, and laid at the gate of the temple to ask alms of those entering the temple. The Bible says, “…Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, LOOK ON US” (Acts 3:4). Peter, in other words, was saying, “Give us your attention!” The crippled man gave them his attention expecting to receive alms but Peter didn’t have any money on him at the time, and said: “...Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he (Peter) took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God” (Acts 3:6-8). Anyone who gives the Lord or His Word attention will always have a miracle. Proverbs 23:26 says, “My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.” God desires to have your attention. He knows if He has your attention, He can lead and guide you in the destiny He’s planned for you. He knows what’s best for you, and what your life should be. There’s therefore nothing for you to worry over, but to live confidently and joyfully every day, in His Word. Philippians 4:6 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Refuse to allow anything distract or take your focus away from the Lord and His eternal Word. Set your attention and affection on Him and on the things He cares about. Be a soul winner. Live for Him. All that you are, and all that you have, are in Him. He’s your reason for being. Trust Him with your life and He’ll order your steps and synchronize you with His perfect will. Meditate on His grace and love, and He’ll cause you to ride above the adversities of life. PRAYER Blessed Father, how great thou art! You’re gracious and kind, and in you I’ve found eternal joy and peace. I live for you alone, and I glorify you, for you’re God, and your greatness is unfathomable. I rejoice that I belong to you, to fulfil all the good pleasure of your goodness, and produce works of righteousness, to your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they [are] life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Colossians 3:1-3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
