[SELAH] Zechariah 4:6-7 King James Version: Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Who [art] thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [thou shalt become] a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone [thereof with] shoutings, [crying], Grace, grace unto it. Message Translation: "This is GOD's Message to Zerubbabel: 'You can't force these things. They only come about through my Spirit,' says GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies. 'So, big mountain, who do you think you are? Next to Zerubbabel you're nothing but a molehill. He'll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!'" The Living Bible: Then he said, “This is God’s message to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty—you will succeed because of my Spirit, though you are few and weak.’ Therefore no mountain, however high, can stand before Zerubbabel! For it will flatten out before him! And Zerubbabel will finish building this Temple with mighty shouts of thanksgiving for God’s mercy, declaring that all was done by grace alone.”* Gloryyy!!! #PastorsAndPartnersEmpowerment #CeAccraGhanaZone
FIGHT of FAITH It is a fight of Faith to keep on looking at the mirror, ignoring images crowding your peripheral vision. Someone passing by? A flash of colour? Is that a dress? Ignore them. Keep looking at the mirror!!! It is a fight of Faith to continually look at the mirror, ignoring images crowding your brain. The last people to let you make a change into who, they're praying for you to be, are those whose esteem you crave the most. Ignore them. Look to the mirror. Change because the Word has changed you. Do not let their opinions, though vitally important to you, knock you out. Fight the good fight. Labour to enter into the rest. Keep believing. Look into the mirror. Keep Looking. #YearOfSpreading #totalexperienceasaba

BEU TAXATION SERIES --- Part I The term “tax” originates from the Latin word ‘taxo’, which means to estimate. Tax is a financial levy or charge imposed on a taxpayer, which can be an individual or a business. Taxation dates back from 3000–2800 BC in Ancient Egypt. Various forms and systems of taxation have evolved since then. Bible holds several records of taxation, notably among these are: 1. The deliberate attempt of some Pharisees and Herodians to ensnare Jesus by his response to a delicate question on paying taxes posed to Him. They asked “Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar Augustus or not”. (Matthew 22: 17 NIV). Find out the Lord Jesus’ response in verse 21 of same chapter. 2. In another instance, tax collectors in Capernaum came asking Peter “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?” (Matthew 17:24 NIV) 3. Matthew, one of Jesus’ twelve disciples and author of the Gospel of Matthew was a publican (tax collector) from Capernaum during Caesar Augustus’ reign. 4. Much earlier in the Old Testament of the Bible, mention is made of Joseph’s imposition of special levy on crop production in preparation against an imminent famine (Ref. Genesis 47:24). Taxation isn’t new to man, and just like times of old, has played very important roles in governance and developmental agenda of national governments all over the world. In the subsequent parts of this series from Monday 5th December, we will share some info on taxation in Ghana and some benefits of understanding the tax administration system in Ghana. REMEMBER to #Like #Share & #Comment. Also ask your questions in the comment box and we will be glad to respond.
