WHY CHRISTMAS? Sitting in my living room last night and watching the Sky news dailies review about Christmas and the billions of pounds that it generates in the economy, something dawned on me. Jesus is the most celebrated man to ever live on this earth. His birth is lavishly celebrated and with great style by all and sundry; Christians and non-Christians alike. Looking at the city as I drove home from church last night, I saw elaborate decorations and lightings; only a truly great King - the King of kings can be celebrated like this. Even HM the Queen's birthdays and jubilee celebrations aren't this great. Have you ever wondered why since we are celebrating Jesus' birth, we don't send all the gifts and cards to the Church but to people around us? The reason is because Jesus' birth was for a greater purpose than himself. He was born, lived and died for a purpose. What is the true purpose of Jesus' birth, you may ask? 'YOU', 'ME', 'US', 'WE' are the reason for His birth; our salvation is the purpose of His birth. His life was a gift and He brought us the gift of the life of God. Therefore, celebrating Christmas is more than celebrating the birth of Jesus; it is also a celebration of mankind and our glorious liberty from sin and death through Christ's birth. This is why, although we give special offerings in Church for Christmas, we do give to and receive lots of gifts from people. Make up your mind to celebrate and enjoy this season because it is about YOU. As you do, ensure you re-examine your life and position yourself rightly to continually live a life worth celebrating like Jesus' life! Merry Christmas my beloved, I celebrate you!
IPPC DAILY UPDATE: DAY 1 (Part2)...🌟🌟⭐⭐☀️☀️🌟🌟⭐⭐ Don’t be Like Lot’s Wife, Pastor Warns Delegates Without total devotion and commitment to the gospel, distractions will set in, and with that comes doubt. This was the submission of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome during his teaching after the opening ceremony of the International Pastor’s and Partners Conference as he admonished delegates on the importance of focusing on Jesus. Taking the delegates through the deep secrets and insights into the word of God, Pastor noted that serving God becomes laborious without total devotion to the Lord. He reminded them that serving God has responsibilities and it is not possible to serve God without total devotion. ”Let the Lord be the center of everything you do. Seek to please Him, not yourself. Make that personal decision how you want to serve God”, he said. Using the story of Lot’s Wife to highlight the impediments that comes from halfhearted commitment, he warned them not to look back in their devotion to the Lord. ”Don’t look back on this journey. Don’t compare yourself to your non-ministry friends. The ministry didn’t cost you anything but it gave you everything. Don’t think of the earthly things you would have acquired. Remember Lots wife. She could not be saved even when God sent angels to save them”. He added, noting that to fully appreciate the God, one’s heart, time and resources must be totally devoted to him #IPPC2019 #IPPCdaily #IPPCPress #GAMC #GAMC2019 #MONTHOFBLESSINGS #CEABAZONE

THE BENEFITS OF FORGIVING OTHERS BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, until seven times: but, until seventy times seven (Matthew 18:21-22) When you forgive, you're the one who benefits. Not to forgive places you at a serious disadvantage and as a child of God, you should act like your heavenly father, who never recalls your offences. The first benefits of forgiving others is that you keep the door firmly closed against the devil. When you don't forgive, you open the door to bitterness and malice, both of which are satan's keys to entering a person's life. The Bible says "If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day. Don't give the devil a chance" (Ephesians 4:26-27 GNB) The second benefit of forgiving others is that when you do, the power of God in your life continues to flow unhindered. Remember that God is love and His power functions in the atmosphere of love. But when you don't forgive others, malice can creep in, which can short-circuit the power of God in your life. This was what happened to the Prophet Elisha in the Bible (2 Kings 3). Elisha was so angry and bitter against the King of Israel that he couldn't hear what the Spirit was saying. He had to call for a musician to play so that the annointing could come on him. Lastly, forgiving others will keep you in good health! People who harbour unforgiveness in their hearts are susceptible to sickness and disease. The bitterness in their hearts affects their physical bodies and manifests as infirmity. The reason some people are sick and miss out on God's blessings is that they refuse to forgive. So, make up your mind to always forgive those who have wronged you. If you forget how good God has been to you, you may find it difficult to forgive others when wronged. But when you appreciate the mercy you received from the Lord you'll find it easier to have mercy and forgive others when they've wronged you. #ministry #blessings #wehavemoved #affirmationtrain #talkingsession
