There are 3 kinds of sin: 1. The inherited sin…….death passed upon all men and all nature 2. The inputted sin… committed because of law… e.g Achan who made Israel loose the battle against Ai 3. MIX FAITH WITH PROPHECIES ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! (James 1:22 MSG). 2 Chronicles 20 gives us an account of how King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah sought help from the Lord when they were faced with threats of war from powerful enemy nations. God, in helping them, didn’t raise an army to defend Judah against their enemies. Rather He ministered to them through prophecy. He anointed a man in their midst named Jahaziel, and he brought forth a word from God to comfort Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah saying, “… Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed…Ye shall not need to fight in this battle…to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you” (2 Chronicles 20:15-17). King Jehoshaphat and the people received the word of prophecy gladly. They didn’t argue or try to reason out in their heads how God was going to help them defeat their enemies; they knew that if God said it, then it was done! Thus, they aligned their plans and acted on the words of exhortation, edification and comfort that came forth under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. As far as they were concerned, God had spoken to them through the words of prophecy Jahaziel gave, and they ran with it and had the victory they required! The Bible tells us not to despise prophecies (1 Thessalonians 5:20), for they’re the tools and weapons we need to fight and win in our fight of faith. Paul exhorting young Timothy said, “Timothy, my child, I entrust to you this command, which is in accordance with the words of prophecy spoken in the past about you. Use those words as weapons in order to fight well” (1 Timothy 1:18 GNB). In other words, Paul was admonishing Timothy, and of course the rest of us to act on prophecies—prophecies that you’ve judged to be consistent with the Word of God! Rejoice when you receive such words in your spirit. When the Word of God is spoken forth in power, under the inspiration of God’s Spirit, whether by foretelling of future events, or as a “rhema-word,” it produces results. However, we must as always, mix the Word with faith to obtain the expected results. #prophecies #newyearservice #lima #loveworld #affirmationtrain #awards #talkingsession #thankyoupastorchris #faith #imcc19 #ippc2019 #liftchallenge #blessingsinthanksgiving

DID THE CHURCH USE YOU? ~ REVEREND KEN OYAKHILOME. You served in the media arm, learnt how to record, capture and edit, now you edit for Nollywood and make money from it... Did church use you? You served in the choir, you were corrected severally by your choir director who almost gave up on you till you gradually started learning to sing, sustain keys, compose songs even do the slurs and dynamics... now you have released your album...! Did church use you? You served in the sound department, learnt to produce good sound, it has become your skill and you even make money from it... Did church use you? You served a Pastor, from cleaning his shoes and carrying his Bible to becoming his assistant pastor, now you have your work, you’re impacting your world and fulfilling your God-given purpose and destiny... Did church use you? Please, people, let’s get it right! It is wrong to say ”the church is using you! The church is using me!”.... The tune of some unwise advisers and brethren. In the first place, it is always a privilege to be used of God. God does not use you and dump you. He uses you, builds you, trains you and makes you what He talks about. You can’t be useful until you are used of Him. It is the process of being used that makes you useful to Him and your world for Him. Your service in the church does not improve God, it only improves you. So be guided, be wise and be Smart. Whether you are available or not, the work must be done. Your availability to serve is for your enrichment, enhancement, and Enlargement. I encourage every worker/steward in the church; keep doing what you’re instructed to do. God is aware of your service. Count it a great privilege to be used by God, and want to be used over and over and over again. Love what you do for the Lord and in the Lord. Do it with all your heart, with joy and gladness. Thank the Lord for the privilege to serve and be useful in God’s house. Remember He gave you His Life to make you His kind - An Associate of the God-kind. The God-kind never speaks of being used. God bless you. #church #mindset #stewardship #dayofservice #kingdom #revken
