*Be Polite! Speak Graceful Words! - Pastor Chris* "Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you]" *(Colossians 4:6 AMPC)* Being polite is not a sign of weakness, but an outworking of the excellence of God in you. In James 3:13-14, the Bible says, *_"Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth."_* In other words, when you use the right words to address others, you're actually displaying the wisdom of God that's in you. But bitterness in the heart of man will produce harsh words and abusive communication. Let your words reflect the presence of the Spirit of God that lives in you. Colossians 4:6 says, *_"Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not to put them down, not cut them out"_* (MSG). Let your words uplift, encourage, inspire, soothe and build. Don't utter words that could inflict pain on others or stir up strife among people. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:24, *_"And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient."_* See others with the eyes of God and address them that way. Be humble in your communication (James 4:6). Don't use insulting words to address people and don't raise your voice against them. Live the higher life of good communication, and you'll see the hand of God move in your behalf. #cephzone2 #ippc2018

DAILY NUGGETS *FEED ON THE RIGHT INFORMATION - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME D.SC D.D * …It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). In today’s world, people are more particular about what they eat. While some eat the right food to stay healthy, there’re those who, from eating all the wrong things, have put their health in jeopardy. It’s the same thing spiritually. As a Christian, you must feed on the right information. You must feed your faith with the Word of God. Some Christians would rather feed their fears than feed their faith. You feed your fears when you give attention to wrong or noxious information. The food for the human spirit is God’s word. Jesus said, “…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). Whilst God’s Word makes the human spirit come alive—buoyant with faith, hope and love, unwholesome words poison and destroy the human spirit. Such negative information that are harmful to the human spirit proceed from giving attention to the wrong things. The effect of feeding on wrong information in the life of a Christian may not be seen overnight; but with time, such a person gets weaker and weaker spiritually. Before long, he’s no longer as fervent in spiritual things as he used to be. Then, his life takes a completely different turn from God’s original plan. Give attention to the right information. Fortify and energize your spirit for success with God’s Word. The forces of life are domiciled in your spirit; as you feed your spirit with the Word, you’ll be able to produce every good thing you want in life from within you. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things” (Matthew 12:35).

DAILY NUGGETS *INVEST YOUR TIME IN SPIRITUAL THINGS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME D.SC D.D * See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil *(Ephesians 5:15-16).* Time is an asset, which you must learn to invest wisely. Investing your time wisely means investing your time in spiritual things. Moses had this on his mind when he prayed to the Lord to *"...Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom"* (Psalms 90:12). Each day you live is an opportunity to accomplish so much, but the question is: How well do you schedule your day? When you wake up in the morning, don’t just roll off your bed and stumble blindly into the day. Spend quality time first to fellowship with the Holy Spirit in prayer and in the Word. Ask Him to guide you as you schedule your activities for the day and prioritize your activities. Ask Him to help you save time, and you’d discover how much you’re able to accomplish for the Kingdom on a daily basis. Then, you’ll become more productive, effective and progressive. Remember that life’s got no extra time; so make every day count by doing only those things that’ll advance the Kingdom of God, and improve your life. There’re people who have desired for a long time to read the entire Bible in one year but haven’t been able to achieve this. Some start bu tdon’t complete it. *"I usually don’t have enough time,"* they lament, trying to exonerate themselves, but that’s not a good enough excuse. Time is a fixed asset; it’s only twenty-four hours in one day; so we have to prioritize. If you were wishing to have more time to study God’s Word, the truth is, you may never get it. What you need is to create the time to study the Word, and schedule your prayer times as well, because your whole future depends on it. Proverbs 1:32 says, *"For the turning away of the simple shall slay them…."* The simple are those who ignore truth; they ignore revelation and never take spiritual things seriously. They know it’s important to pray, but they’re too busy to do so. God calls them the simple, and He says their complacent attitude shall make them victims in life. Don’t be like the simple, who would rather do other things than spend time on spiritual matters. Choose always to be spiritually alert so that when the *"evil day"* comes, it’ll meet you well preparmed and you’ll know what to do. #cephzone2
