CHILDREN AND PARENTING Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome DSc, DD. That attitude of giving child a tablet while service is on to be playing games so they don't disturb you is a time bomb! You are saying to them, its OK to not concentrate in church, you think you are trying to concentrate and don't want them to distract you but you are giving them a mindset. It will form an attitude towards trivializing spiritual things in the future and by then it may be too late to correct.. Don't ever think they do not understand what's going on while the service is on, these children play very complicated games better than adults! If they can understand that, they can understand what Paul calls "The Simplicity of the Gospel" The gaming can wait! Another thing I find ludicrous is Parents who give their children "loose change" for offering but spend heavily on their lunch just after the service is over.. There again you are saying, God doesn't deserve anything big. You see that's how you breed Atheists! That's how you raise Adults who think the Holy Ghost is a Gut Feeling! Who think tithing is making the pastor a big boy! Train up a child in the way he should go.. When he is old he will not depart from it I may never be able to subscribe to all the parenting modules my Parents used for us while growing up, but you see this love for God? They got it right! My Father made sure we never missed a single midweek service while growing up. No matter how tired we were from school, he insisted, he compelled! Today, look what that training has done to me! Isaiah 28 vs 10 says "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little" Simple things are what form Character! God bless you.

IT'S OUR MONTH OF REFLECTION. CELEBRATE THE SUCCESS OF OTHERS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves (Philippians 2:3). There’re people who, instead of seeing the positive side of others and learning from them, get into worthless competition. The news of someone else’s success not only upsets and triggers in them a competitive spirit, they also feel “dwarfed” by them. This ought not to be so. The success of another person doesn’t mean that you’re failing; therefore, rejoice and celebrate them. Be filled with love. Never find yourself in unhealthy competition with others. If you were starting a business, for example, don’t let it be because you want to compete with somebody else; don’t strive or fight with others; let God lead you. If you’d commit your work to Him and trust Him, He’d cause you to succeed. He’s already established you on the Rock, and that Rock is Christ; therefore, you have nothing to fear. Moreover, success is relative, and there’re different phases and levels of success. Your success can only be measured according to the vision and target that God has given you. If you’re about a God-given endeavour, then He alone can judge how successful you are. Between you and God, you can decide whether or not you’re successful, because it’s based on what you’re told to do. What He told you to do may not be what He told someone else; so there’s no need to compare yourself with others, or rate yourself on the basis of their success or failure. Therefore, in all you do, let your motives be right and be void of selfishness. When you hear of other people’s successes, never allow the self-pitying or “why-not-me” attitude. Rejoice. Refuse to compare yourself with anyone. Remember, you’re unique before the Lord! #INFLUENCE #REFLECTION #SUPERNATURAL #AFFIRMATIONTRAIN
IT'S OUR MONTH OF FAVOUR. Look Inwards For Creative Ideas! - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us (2 Corinthians 4:7). As a child of God, the Bible says whatsoever you do, shall prosper: "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper" (Psalm 1:3). Never be idle or jobless; you must find something you’re good at; something that’s good for God and good for people, and do it. Bless the world with the work of your hands. Look to the Holy Spirit in you for ideas of excellence. Remember, success isn’t all about money; if you have the right ideas, and discipline yourself in the direction of your ideas, money will come to you. So come up with great ideas that’ll foster the progress and development of your environment, and the world of your time. One of the primary requirements for success is looking out for a human need, and then reaching out to meet it. How did Joseph, a prisoner, become the Prime minister of Egypt? He did something. He used his gift to serve others and God promoted him. Some people believe the reason they’re suffering or poor is because of the kind of work they do. That’s not true! The problem isn’t the kind of work they do; rather it’s in their minds. Your mind is what determines what you become, for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). Look inwards, and live from inside out. Put your creative juices to work. Initiate prosperity and victory from within you, for they’re inherent in your spirit. God has deposited in your spirit everything you require for a successful life. Search yourself; dig deep within you and discover the treasure and talents you have. Put them to work, and the anointing of the Lord will cause them to produce and multiply. SPEAK IN OTHER TONGUES NOW #SUPERNATURAL #FAVOUR #EVERYWHERE #AFFIRMATIONTRAIN
You separate yourself from the poor by helping the poor. In a stirring message at the LoveWorld Arena, Pastor Chris encouraged members of the congregation to always have more to give to the poor. Be blessed as you watch. #AFFIRMATIONTRAIN #YEAROFTHESUPERNATURAL
