The Practice of Christianity: (Highlights of the First Sunday Service of 2019) Congregants at Christ Embassy Off Peter Odili were equipped today with God's Word to shine ever so brightly, like the brightness of the firmaments and stars of heaven. The Highly Esteemed Zonal Director, ministering at the first Sunday Service of the year charged the brethren to make a practice of Christianity in these key areas: GOING TO CHURCH:- Why is it important to be in the house of God? When you come to church and hear God's Word continually, you grow. PRAYERS: - You must have a definite prayer lifestyle. Speak more in tongues this year and participate in the ongoing prayers for the Higher Life Conference Port Harcourt. HONOUR:- You must learn to honor people and treat them with respect, because everyone has a part of God in them. HONESTY:- Be honest in words and in deeds.Make up your mind to live an honest life. EVANGELISM :- "They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever" ( Daniel 12:3) When you preach the gospel, you provide guidance to others and you lead them into their inheritance in Christ. This is one of the ways you shine this year. We are going to win souls like never before. Our accomplishments this year will make all we did in 2018 look like child's play. #2019YearOfLights #SundayService #HLCPH #HLCPH2019 #CEPHZONE3
Your path is as the shinning light that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. Prov.4:18 ... the darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people, but the Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you. Isaiah.60: 2 This is a sure word of prophecy for you, accept no alternatives.
GIVING THANKS ALWAYS . - Reverend Chris Oyakhilome PhD Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV). No matter the crises or circumstances you face in life, God’s will is that you always maintain an attitude of thankfulness. He says in all things, give thanks, because He knows that you could never be disadvantaged. All things are working together for your good as the Scriptures declare (Romans 8:28). Someone may ask, “Am I supposed to give thanks for challenges and problems?” The scripture didn’t say to give thanks “for” all circumstances; rather, it says we should give thanks “in” all circumstances. In other words, give thanks, no matter the situation. It doesn’t matter what happens in your life or around you, give thanks to God, knowing He’s already given you the victory. You have to understand that Christ in you makes you triumphant always, in all circumstances. So, when He says for us to give thanks in all things, it’s with this consciousness. The Bible says, “Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” (Colossians 3:17). A lifestyle of gratitude activates the blessings and graces of God in your life. James 1:2 says, _*“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.”*_ He didn’t say, “Cry to God to save you out of divers temptations.” That’s because there’s nothing in this life that can successfully stand against you. Everything that exists, both living and non-living, are working and cooperating for your victory. This is why you should always be full of joy, giving thanks to the Lord. (Culled from Rhapsody of Realities, October 3rd, 2017) *...Counting up to a most phenomenal Mid-Year Thanksgiving Service in all Christ Embassy Port Harcourt Zone 3 Churches. * DATE: Sunday 8th July *TIME: 8:00am Get ready to pour out your gratitude to the Lord for all He's done for you. IT'S THANKSGIVING! #MidYearThanksgiving #CEPHZONE3
All the wonderful truths revealed to us in the gospel don’t rank equally; some are greater than others. Your desire should be to always function in the revelation of the greater truths. Studying the life of the Lord Jesus will show you clearly how to walk in the greater truths of God’s Word. Divine healing, for example, is a truth and a blessing from God; it’s wonderful to know that no matter the nature of the sickness, you can receive healing. But there’s a greater truth to that, and it’s the fact that you can live in divine health everyday of your life; I’m talking about a state where you’re sickness, disease and infirmity free – never needing to be healed. We never read in the Bible that one day, Jesus had a cold or headache, or contracted the flu, and then sent Peter to assemble the other disciples to pray for Him to be healed. He lived in divine health. The Bible refers to healing as the children’s bread (Matthew 15:26). In other words, it is children (spiritual babes) that require healing. As you mature in the things of the Spirit you leave the good things for the best – you move from asking for healing to living in divine health. That’s when you’ve chosen to see and live by the greater light. Deliverance is also a great truth, but living in divine protection is a greater truth. All through the ministry of Jesus, He never needed to be set free or delivered from the devil or any trouble. There’s something greater and better than you getting into trouble for God to bring you out of it; that’s divine protection – God shielding you completely from trouble. That’s the greater truth, and that’s the revelation by which you ought to live. So, in your life, put the Word to work, for the Word if the true light (John 1:9, 17:17). Measure your life’s experiences with the Word and the life of the Lord Jesus, and function continually in the greater truths of God’s Word. ~ Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. #supernatural #talkingsession #affirmationtrain #greater #truths #lesser #mydeclaration #prayingnow
FEATURED POST FOR THE WEEK PRACTISE KINGSHIP “Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (Revelations 1:5-6 KJV). When God looks at you, He doesn’t see a helpless, needy minister who’s always looking for a way out. He sees someone full of dominion and authority! You’ve been ordained by God to reign and rule in the realm of life; He has made you superior to the devil and every demon of darkness. Not only does God expect you to see yourself as a king, He also expects you to live as one. How do you practise kingship? It begins from your consciousness. You must make up your mind that you’re going to walk, talk, pray and live as a king. Our opening scripture says, God has made you a king, so you look into the mirror and tell the fellow in that mirror, “You’re a king!” Then ask yourself, “How do kings behave?” One thing is sure: Kings don’t beg; they make decrees! So start making declarations of faith. Begin to exercise your God-given authority and dominion over everything. This kind of consciousness will change your prayer life and make you unique in ministry. The International School of Ministry is a unique place for learning and equipping with accurate knowledge of God’s Word that will transform your life and ministry forever. *PASTOR CHRIS SAY'S* *YOUR NAME IS A CONFESSION* All over the world, people bear names that represents different things. Some names represents personalities, landmarks or events, and they're handed down from one generation to another. Many times, Christians have found themselves bearing names that contradict what they believe;those names were handed to them by their forbears. But not many ever thought to be sure they're consistent with who they are in Christ. It's no use answering the name that contradicts what you believe about the gospel and who you really are in Christ, for it can work against you. The name you answer to is a major confession in your life. If you study the Bible, you'll notice how God changed the names of several people. Before their names were changed, they lived the life of the name they bore. When God changed their names, their destinies too were changed. Abraham for example, which means *"father of many"*. Used to be called Abram, meaning *"exalted or assumed father "*. Gen 17:5. He and his wife were without a child until their names changed to Abraham and Sarah. Isaac's son, Jacob is another example. His name meant *" one that takes by the heel or a deceiver "*. In today's rendition, that would mean, *" swindler, fast guy, or scammer "*. Of course he grew up to answer his name; he deceived his father, cheated his brother, and remained a cheat until God met him and changed his name. Gen 32:27-28. To answer a name means that you agree to, confess and endorse the meaning and import of that name into your life. That's why you ought to answer only names that are consistent with Gods purpose for you:names that glorifies God's words and are consistent with your identity and position as a new creation in Christ Jesus.
