#VMCUPDATES Inmates in correctional facilities popularly known as "prisons" in most developing nations are affected by medical conditions associated with overcrowding, insufficient food and inadequate health and hygiene facilities; such as malnutrition, skin problems and other infectious communicable diseases. Following a needs assessment carried out by members of the Volunteer Medical Corps Beau Cameroon and other key stakeholders, a mega outreach was carried out at the Buea Central Prison, where they reached out to over 800 inmates who gave their lives to Jesus. All the prison administrators and guards were impacted by the love and warmth expressed by the VMC team. The atmosphere was filled with so much grace as the inmates were ministered to with songs of worship to God. The team also educated the inmates on managing their health, basic hygiene tips and care for skin diseases. The VMC volunteers helped to clean up the prison yard, and they distributed gifts and food items to those present. There were numerous testimonies from the inmates, guards and other prison officials at the end of the outreach to the glory of God. www.volunteermedicalcorps.org #perfectvolunteers #iamandilead #vmcgooddeeds #vmcorps
