Wednesday, June 26 PRAY FOR THE NATION WHERE YOU LIVE OR WORK The Pastor Chris Live Pray-A-Thon continues, and we are most excited about what the Lord is doing all around the world in answer to our prayers. Glory to God forevermore! Luke 3:14 says, “And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.” Daniel 2:21-22: Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. Deuteronomy 16:19( NIV): Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent. At our scheduled prayer times, pray mostly in tongues of the Spirit, bearing up the nation where you live and work, and its economy. Pray for its prosperity and peace. Pray for the various security agencies and the judiciary in your nation; that they be not used as instruments of coercion and intimidation, but to foster righteousness; and all these for the furtherance of our gospel. Amen. God bless you.
Friday, June 28 PRAY FOR CHRISTIANS IN PRISON Hebrews 13:3 says, "Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body". 1 Corinthians 12:26 says "whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it". In today's sessions (12noon and 10pm Local; your group's scheduled prayer time; and an extra 15min if your group is not scheduled for prayer), we'll pray mostly in tongues of the Spirit, interceding in prayer for Christians in prisons, the world over, and others incarcerated for offences they never committed. Pray for their deliverance and quick release; that God's grace and mercy be directed toward them, and they be filled with courage, hope, and strength. Pray fervidly in the Spirit. God bless you.
Monday, July 1st PRAY FERVENTLY IN TONGUES OF THE SPIRIT: The PastorChrisLive Pray-A-Thon has been rich, most rewarding, gloriously impactful, and a great blessing to the entire world. We're grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to make tremendous power available through prayer, for the advancement of God's kingdom in the earth. Hallelujah! Ephesians 6:18 says, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints". 1 Corinthians 14:14 says, "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful". At our scheduled times of prayer (12noon and 10pm Local; with your group, or an extra 15min if your group is not scheduled today), we'll pray fervently in tongues of the spirit for all 15min, yielding ourselves to the intercessory ministry of the Spirit, and prophecies as the Holy Spirit inspires. The Church is marching on, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Glory to God forevermore! From Wednesday July 3rd to Friday July 5th, we would have a live edition of 'Your Loveworld' to round off our month of prayer, and we'll be fasting too on those days. Prepare for it. God bless you.
Tuesday, July 2nd PRAY FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD: Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it". Psalm 71:17 – “O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works". Matthew 18:5-6: "And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea". At our scheduled prayer times, we'll pray mostly in tongues of the Spirit, bearing up in prayer, children and young people around the world; that they be shielded from all evil and wicked devices of the enemy, rescued from wicked and unreasonable men, protected on every side, undistracted by negative peer pressures, but growing up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, fulfilling their purpose in Christ. Pray also for their parents, teachers and minders, that they be guided in God’s wisdom to lead them in the way that they should go, causing them to be excellent in every way, to the glory of God. Hallelujah! God bless you.
In This Month Of Thanksgiving You need to Focus on the Word, realign Your thinking with the Word and see the right things only. Here's an Excerpt from Pastor's Teachings. #Cephzone2 #MonthOfThanksgiving.
WHO IS IN YOUR FRONT ROW? BY Pastor Chris Oyakhilome D.Sc D.D Life is a Theatre... Invite Your Audience Carefully. Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in your life. There are some people in your life who need to be loved from a DISTANCE. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of - or minimize your time with - those draining, negative, incompatible, 'not-going- anywhere' relationships or friendships. Observe the relationships around you. Pay close attention... Which ones lift, and which ones lean? Which ones encourage, and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill, and which ones are going downhill? When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse? Which ones always have drama, or don't really understand, know or appreciate you & the giftsthat lie within you? Remember that the people you have around you will have an impact on your life, your values and your income. So, be careful when choosing the people you hang out with, as well as the information with which you will feed your mind. We should not share our dreams with negative people, nor feed our minds with negative thoughts. The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you... the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the FRONT ROW, and who should be moved to the balcony of your life. Ask for wisdom and discernment, and choose wisely the people who will sit in the front row of your life. You cannot change the people around you....but you can change the people you choose to be around! God bless you richly in Jesus mighty name Amen
Saturday - June 22 PRAY FOR THE SAINTS "For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints (the people of God), I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers. [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him…” (Ephesians 1:15-17 AMPC). "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;” Ephesians 3:14-16. At our scheduled times of prayer today, we'll pray mostly in tongues, and also bearing up in prayer, Christians around the world, especially new converts, in accordance with the verses of scripture above. God bless you.
Our Exceptionalism is Not a Joke – Pastor Joy Amenkhienan Thursday night of the ICLC was rhapsodizing with the esteemed Pastor Joy reemphasising the importance of our ministry materials in a message titled “Raising Disciples Using Ministry Materials”. She started by reminding the thousands of delegates on the importance of our ministry materials. “People live by the information around them. When they join us, their mindsets are changed using our ministry materials. Train up a child in the way he should go, when he grows up, he’ll not depart from it. “ She also emphasized the importance of ministry materials and highlighted platforms where these materials can be introduced to the brethren. They include the ministry’s online platforms, the foundation school, water baptism classes and Pastor Chris Digital Library (PCDL), amongst others. “Expose your members to all our materials and let them share with others. Organize book reviews. Lives are changed with these materials”. Throwing more light on how the Ministry Materials change lives, esteemed Pastor Joy shared unforgettable testimonies on the impact of Ministry Materials in the lives of people. She concluded by charging the cell leaders to “organize programmes with these ministry materials. God has multiplied Himself via these materials. You’re what you eat. All Pastor Chris' messages have ability to change lives. Reculture people into full maturity. Change your members minds through exposing them to the right information”. *PRACTISE PUNCTUALITY - PASTOR CHRIS* *_"But Thomas, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came" (John 20:24)._* One of the good habits you should inculcate is punctuality to the House of God. It's not good for you to go to church or other important meetings at your own leisure; you have to practise punctuality consciously. John 20:24 is very touching because it actually describes why many Christians miss what God has in store for them: not being at the right place at the right time. Whenever there is an appointment with the Lord, you can be sure He'll be there on time. The Lord Jesus made an appointment with His disciples for a specific time, at a specific place where He would meet them after His resurrection, and He kept the appointment. Thomas, however, wasn't there! *Where in the world was he?* Suppose Jesus didn't come the second time, Thomas would have lived the rest of his life cynical or doubtful of the resurrection, all because of his disregard for punctuality. *"God can meet me anywhere"* or *"If God has something for me, it will come to me,"* some people would say. Such people are ignorant of the scriptures; they don't realize that the Lord is organized and principled. Jesus never disappoints. Every service is an appointment with the Holy Spirit. You must realize that you can actually receive something specific from God at every church meeting, something that will lift you up to the next level in your life. Every aspect of the service has its place and purpose, so be punctual and get the best always. God can give something that's supposed to be yours before you get there and it might be too late when you finally arrive. So tell yourself, *"I will not go to church late."* This seems like a very small matter, but making this quality decision will stand you out from others in due time.
*PRAYING CORRECTLY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME* And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you (John 16:23). You should have results every time you pray. God asked us to pray because He wants to answer our prayers, but we must pray correctly. There’re some simple rules of prayer; basic fundamental principles that, if not applied, you’ll be praying amiss. For example, in the New Testament, we pray in the Name of Jesus. We don’t ask Jesus for anything; we don’t pray to Him. You can tell Him how much you love Him, and give thanks to the Father, in His Name, but we don’t pray to Jesus, in the Name of Jesus; that’d be wrong. When we pray, we stand in the stead of Jesus; we’re taking His place. So, we can’t be praying to Him in His Name, or while standing in His stead; that won’t make any spiritual sense. Furthermore, we pray knowing that we’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Our righteousness gives us a right or guarantee of hearing with God. This is what makes our prayers effectual and effective. James 5:16 (AMPC) says, “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” Thus, prayer in the New Testament is geared to effecting changes. When there’re challenges, we can make power available in prayer power for change! Jesus said, “…men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1). That means pray always, and don’t give up, because when you pray, you make power available for the works of righteousness; you effect definite changes in the realm of the spirit to your advantage. Hallelujah!
IT'S OUR MONTH OF PRAYER. PROPHETIC WORDS "Fear not for I am with you, I am your strength. I am the rock on which you stand, the rock on which you are founded. Fear not, for I am God, saith the Lord. For I have made the heavens and the earth, and everything that has been made. The world is mine, and I have given it to you. I have given you my Word and I am your strength. I am your life. Have no fear, for I am with you. Have no fear. Fear not the night, nor the darkness. For the darkness has no power over you, and the wicked shall not overcome you. For you are mine saith the Lord, the evil shall bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous. For I am your strength, saith the Lord. I have enabled you and I have empowered you. My hand is upon you, and I have exalted you with my hand of righteousness; for thou art mine saith the Lord. Thus saith the Lord, I have given you an understanding heart and my wisdom is perfected in you. Walk in the light of my Word. I have made you victorious in all things, therefore walk in victory. Walk in the consciousness of your victory. Do not look at the shadows for I have laughed at the enemy. I have laughed at the adversary therefore consider him not. Consider not your adversaries, for they are fallen before you. I have exalted you, saith the Lord; I will demonstrate my glory before you and men shall know that you are mine. For you shall show forth my praise, saith the Lord, and your mouth shall be filled with testimonies of my goodness." Hallelujah! Glory to God!! #prophetic #prayingnow #victory #wordsofprophecy #talkingsession #testimonies #affirmationtrain
*DON’T PLAY LIGHT ON SPEAKING IN TONGUES – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME* He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church (1 Corinthians 14:4). Speaking in tongues is so important for us as Christians. The Bible says, “For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, this is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing…” (Isaiah 28:11-12). Peter describes it as “…the times of refreshing….” (Acts 3:19). There’s refreshing, rejuvenation, and flourishing for the one who consistently speaks in tongues. Also, speaking in tongues improves you. The Amplified version of our opening verse says, “He who speaks in a [strange] tongue edifies and improves himself….” When you speak in tongues, you become sensitive to spiritual realities; you’re synchronised with the Spirit, and His voice becomes clear to you. Some people say they don’t know when God is talking to them. If they’ll speak in tongues, their spirits will become sensitive to God, to hear and understand His Word. Another important benefit of speaking in tongues is the purification of your faith. (Jude 1:20) says, “But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit” (AMP). Your most holy faith is your most sanctified faith; unalloyed faith, devoid of doubt or fear. It’s your highest, purest, and best expression of your faith so far. God expects you to build on that “most holy faith” through speaking in tongues. The Apostle Paul revealed speaking in tongues as one of his secrets of success in ministry. He was bold to tell the Corinthian church, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18). It goes to show how much he spoke in tongues. No wonder, he was so successful. Choose to speak in tongues more than ever. Edify your spirit. Improve yourself spiritually. Flourish and make progress in your life, with speaking in tongues! *THOUGHT FOR TODAY* _"Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God."_ - *Philippians 1:3* You are a gift! Your life is not a mistake, it has a purpose and you being you has meaning. Sometimes, all it takes to be a blessing to others is just being ourselves. Being willing to share our silly sense of humor or maybe just being transparent about our struggles is all it takes to be a gift from God to another person. Don’t underestimate the impact of just be you today. *You are God’s gift for those closest to you!*
*THE CHURCH: FULL OF GLORY, POWER AND STRENGTH* [We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy - Colossians 1:11 (AMPC) The verse above is part of the prayer of the spirit through the Apostle Paul for the church. And as it is the prayer of the spirit, it means that it has already been answered. It would therefore not be normal to pray, “Lord, strengthen me by your power”; rather, simply say that you are fortified, not with a certain power, but of all power in your inner man. It shows how powerful we are as Christians. We are revigorés (invigorated) with the ability to perform miracles. Blessed be God! Let’s see, if it were the angel Michel, and how it was fortified with all power, one could say: “Lord, it is incredible; it is a great angel”, but it is about us – within the Church, you and me. We have been fortified with all power. Which means we’re unlimited in what we can do. Nothing is impossible with us; we are invincible. Even in the face of various trials, temptations and persecution, we are bold and courageous for and with the gospel. There is strength in us to support and prevail against the adversities, and take possession of all the blessings we need from our inner space. We are full of joy, regardless of our physical condition or our environment. This is the church of Jesus Christ; there is no weakness. It is a glorious church, a church that sings, a triumphant and flourishing church, full of glory, strength and power. Hallelujah!

PRAYER HELPS YOU TO BE CONSCIOUS OF THE ANOINTING - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:38) Something beautiful that happens in your spirit as you pray is that the Holy Spirit causes the anointing to well up strongly within you. At such times, the words you speak go forth as the sword of the Spirit with which you cut the enemy down and overcome every adversity. As a child of God you’re anointed. Through that anointing you can achieve anything. But not many are conscious of the fact that there’s an anointing at work in their lives. This was what made the Lord Jesus different from everyone else during His earthly ministry. Remember, though He was the Son of God, He ministered as the son of man while He was on earth. Until the Holy Spirit came upon Him at the River Jordan (John 1:32-33), He didn’t perform a single miracle. The anointing of the Holy Spirit upon His life gave Him the ability to do the mighty works He did. That same anointing is what you received when the Holy Spirit came to live in you. That anointing is what makes you more than a man, and it’s important for you to be conscious of that anointing always. The more you pray in other tongues, the more the consciousness of your divine origin dawns on your spirit. This consciousness helps you see, think, say and do things ordinary men can’t. Remember, the anointing of the Spirit in your life makes your life supernatural; therefore become conscious of the anointing! Take time often to pray in the Spirit, and as you do the anointing will well up in you, inspiring in you the ability to change your world.
*THOUGHT FOR TODAY* _"Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested."_ - *Hebrews 2:18* It happens. Life gets so tough and in our mind we discredit God. We ask ourselves, "What can the Bible have to say about my situation?" or "How can Jesus even help?" This is not the time to get angry and turn against Jesus. He knows exactly what you are walking through. You are not alone and he has felt your pain. Cry out to Jesus with your heart. *Take comfort from these words in the Bible.*
PREVAIL FIRST IN PRAYER BY REV. (DR.) CHRIS OYAKHILOME. When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them (Acts 5:33 ). In our opening scripture, Peter had ministered the Gospel to a group of people, and rather than give their hearts to Christ, the people wanted to kill him. That’s why it’s important that before you go out to preach, you intercede for the people you’re going to be ministering to; pray that your message will be accepted and won’t just be a witness against them. It brings to mind the experience of Stephen in the Book of Acts. He ministered a powerful sermon, full of excellent theology and history. Yet when he was done, the Bible says the people “…were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth” (Acts 7:54). They shut their ears to his message and ran upon him to kill him, and eventually stoned him to death. Just because the message is great doesn’t mean people will be moved enough to give their hearts to Christ; they didn’t in Stephen’s case. So, before you embark on any evangelical mission or outreach programme, prevail first in prayer, because it’s about the souls of men and the impact the message will have on them, resulting in their salvation. When you intercede like that, the love of God in you wells up, striving against sin, Satan, and the forces of darkness, and the souls of men are rescued from evil. At that moment, you’re God’s champion; the deliverer. When you’ve succeeded in bringing them out of that darkness in the spirit, you’ll know it. Then you’re ready to go. Your message may just be for five or twenty minutes, it doesn’t matter; while you’re at it, they’ll be getting convicted and crying out for salvation. This is important. Learn to prevail first in prayer.
*PRAY BY THE RULES - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME* “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:18). In the world of sports, there are all kinds of games but different rules apply to them. You cannot for instance play soccer with volleyball rules, neither can you play basketball as though you were playing handball. Although some ball games may have similarities in the way they are played, there’re certain rules peculiar to each ball game that distinguishes it from others. It’s the same way with prayers. There are different kinds of prayers that we ought to pray in different situations, and they all have different rules, laws or principles that must be applied for them to be effective. The Amplified Bible translation of our opening scripture says, “Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty…” In 1 Timothy 2:1 Paul instructs Timothy on the issue of prayer and gives him a list of different kinds of prayer: “I exhort therefore, that first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men” (1 Timothy 2:1). Notice that the prayers listed here are all in plural “supplications,” “prayers,” “intercessions,” “giving of thanks.” Apart from these, there’re also the prayer of agreement, the prayer of dedication or consecration and prophetic prayer. These different kinds of prayer require faith for them to be effective, but the Scriptures show us there’s also a definite prayer of faith with its own guiding principles. In order to understand the subject of prayer and how to pray effectively, you must recognize that there are different circumstances and situations in life and the same prayer doesn’t apply to all of them. Sometimes, people apply the rules of one prayer to another or pray the wrong prayer in certain situations and wonder why they don’t have results. No, you can’t have results that way; you’ve got to pray by the rules to have results! FURTHER STUDY: 1 JOHN 5:14-15 Help spread God's word around the world via Online by sharing this post
