๐—ž๐—œ๐—ก๐—š๐—œ๐—ก๐—š AS A SAINT AT WORK bit.ly/WithRhapsody "The work of the ministry is for every Christian." -Pastor Chris IN TODAY'S RHAPSODY of July 22, the Man of God, Pastor Chris, charges you to work for the Lord and win souls everyday. WE READ: Godโ€™s idea and expectation isnโ€™t just for some of us to be effective in the work of the ministry, while some others in the Church are spectators. The work of the ministry is for every Christian. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:18, โ€œAnd all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and HATH GIVEN TO US the ministry of reconciliation.โ€ Notice the underlined: God gave USโ€”not just the apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists and pastorsโ€”the ministry of reconciliation! No one is left out in this. His purpose in teaching us His Word is for us to be raised to live the Kingdom life; to subdue this world and establish His righteousness in the earth and in the hearts of men. As we carry out the work of the ministry, the world will wonder at the life of glory, success, victory and prosperity exuding from us. This is because weโ€™re His ambassadors; the light in the midst of darkness. This is the time for those around you who donโ€™t have the divine life to wonder whether youโ€™re an angel, as you minister the Gospel to them in such power and demonstration of the supernatural. They said the same of Stephen in Bible days (Read Acts 6:15). The preceding verse 5 says Stephen was a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost; he was neither an apostle nor a prophet. He was made a Deacon in the early Church, being full of faith and power and the wisdom of God. This is your time to shine ever so brightly with the light of the Gospel, bringing men and women into the Kingdom. Everywhere you are, let men see your good works and glorify your Father, who is in heaven. As the Bible says, โ€œ...the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy risingโ€ (Isaiah 60:3). In other words, as you manifest Christ everywhere, bearing the truth of His glorious Gospel, theyโ€™ll turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God. Hallelujah! Glory to God forevermore. ๐—ž๐—œ๐—ก๐—š๐—œ๐—ก๐—š IN RIGHTEOUSNESS bit.ly/WithRhapsody "He declared you righteous because of what Jesus did in your behalf." -Pastor Chris IN TODAY'S RHAPSODY of July 21, the Man of God, Pastor Chris, expounds on the applications and definitions of righteousness. WE READ: Itโ€™s so important to understand that thereโ€™re several broad applications and definitions of righteousness. But righteousness, first and foremost, is the nature of God, His nature of rightness. The nature of God can be described from different perspectives, like we say, โ€œGod is loveโ€; so, love is His nature. But when we talk about righteousness, thatโ€™s a different nature weโ€™re describing. Righteousness as Godโ€™s nature is His ability to be right and do right only and always. Itโ€™s His perfection, accuracy and distinction in glory. Righteousness distinguishes God in glory from everyone else. Now, this righteousness is absolutely unattainable by man or any creature. Therefore, in Godโ€™s benevolence, He attributes, bestows or imputes to us a kind of righteousness which is called โ€œRight standing.โ€ You may have heard what in some countries is called โ€œa certificate of conformityโ€; itโ€™ll help you understand what righteousness or right standing is. It stipulates that a particular product meets the required standards or specification of the government or authorized agency. Thereโ€™s also the โ€œcertificate of good standing,โ€ which certifies that a company is properly registered with the state and itโ€™s up to date on all state levies and required documentations, and therefore legally permitted to engage in business activities in the state. Now, right standing, like the certificate of good conduct or good standing is the ability to stand before God and be accepted. Now we can fellowship with Him, unafraid and unashamed. The most beautiful part is that He didnโ€™t wait for you to have โ€œcompliedโ€ or โ€œfiledโ€ the necessary โ€œdocumentationsโ€ and meet all the required standards first; He declared you righteous because of what Jesus did in your behalf. Recall we read in our theme verse that โ€œ...Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousnessโ€ฆ.โ€ God gave Abraham the certificate of right standing for believing. Likewise, righteousness was imparted to you as a result of your faith in Jesus Christ. Itโ€™s the gift of Godโ€”a gift of grace imparted to all men, which becomes effectual the moment one submits to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Glory to God forevermore. ๐—ž๐—œ๐—ก๐—š๐—œ๐—ก๐—š IN TEMPERANCE bit.ly/WithRhapsody "you canโ€™t do anything serious for the Lord if youโ€™re body-ruled." -Pastor Chris IN TODAY'S RHAPSODY of July 20, the Man of God, Pastor Chris, reiterates that you have to discipline your body because you can. WE READ: Temperance is from the Greek word โ€œegkrateiaโ€ and it means self-control, the ability and will to control your impulses, to delay immediate gratification for a long-term gain. That simply means the ability to wait or hold on, saying โ€œnoโ€ or โ€œnot nowโ€ to your impulses. This was the virtue Moses displayed after he had been raised as a prince in Pharaohโ€™s house. The Bible says, โ€œโ€ฆwhen he grew up, refused to be treated as the son of Pharaohโ€™s daughter. He chose to share the oppression of Godโ€™s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sinโ€ (Hebrews 11:24-25 NLT). โ€œWhat if I donโ€™t have temperance?โ€ someone may ask. As long as youโ€™re born again, you have the virtue of temperance. The Bible says itโ€™s the fruit of the recreated human spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). The man who desires to operate effectively with this virtue must learn to control his senses. And that can be achieved by training your body. You have to discipline your body; break it the way you break a horse until it does what you say, not you doing what it says. If your body canโ€™t be subject to you, then it means youโ€™re a slave to your body. And you canโ€™t do anything serious for the Lord if youโ€™re body-ruled. In 1 Corinthians 9:27, Paul said, โ€œโ€ฆI keep under my body, and bring it into subjectionโ€ฆ.โ€ For instance, you can decide youโ€™ll not sleep whenever youโ€™re in church, or whenever youโ€™re studying the Bible or listening to Godโ€™s Word; thatโ€™s temperance. Also, when you fast; donโ€™t find yourself going for food barely an hour into the fast. Part of the essence of a fast is to deny yourself the natural cravings in order to put your body in subjection to your spirit. You have the ability and will to control your impulses, to subdue your body and tell it what to do, and itโ€™ll comply. Glory to God forevermore. ๐—ž๐—œ๐—ก๐—š๐—œ๐—ก๐—š FOR THE KINGDOM bit.ly/WithRhapsody "Trust God with your life; serve Him with a pure heart, and watch Him take you from glory to glory." -Pastor Chris IN TODAY'S RHAPSODY of July 19, the Man of God, Pastor Chris, reiterates that you put the kingdom first. WE READ: When I came across the scripture above many years ago, it caught my attention. Paul was deeply concerned about the church in Philippi, and desired to minister to them. But he couldnโ€™t personally visit them, because he was in prison. Then he said to them, โ€œTimothy is the one that I can send to you, because the others seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christโ€™s. How enlightening! Thereโ€™re many like that in the Church today; they seek their own and live unto themselves; theyโ€™re selfish. Yet, the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:15, โ€œโ€ฆthat he (Christ) died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.โ€ Selfish people canโ€™t walk in truth, and canโ€™t truly walk in love. Selfishness is contrary to the Word of God. When you have a dream for something you want to do, even if itโ€™s something you want to do for God, itโ€™s important you ask yourself what your real motivation is. You may find yourself struggling between the love of God and the love of yourself, struggling between serving Jesus and serving your interests. Thatโ€™s what Paul was referring to; He could only pick Timothy, of the several people he had with him, to send to the Philippian church. Paul was convinced Timothy would do the work from a pure heart; heโ€™d do it selflessly, in love. Paul was writing, not just for that day but also for us to learn. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus communicated a similar thought when He said, โ€œBut seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.โ€ He didnโ€™t say the first of the things you should seek is the Kingdom of God and after that you can seek other things. No; He said be Kingdom-conscious; pursue Kingdom expansion and the establishment of Godโ€™s righteousness; put that first, and youโ€™ll never need to struggle for anything in life. Trust God with your life; serve Him with a pure heart, and watch Him take you from glory to glory. Glory to God forevermore. โ„น INSIGHT with Pastor Uyi July 13, 2021 ๐—”๐—ก๐—š๐—˜๐—Ÿ๐—ฆ ๐—ข๐—ก ๐—”๐—ฆ๐—ฆ๐—œ๐—š๐—ก๐— ๐—˜๐—ก๐—ง A long time ago, when I just started pastoring, a Deacon who was not a member of my congregation called me one morning, and asked if I would be interested in a car he recently purchased, (a Mercedes Benz 230) but was no longer interested in owning it. "If you want it Pastor Uyi, just come and carry it. It's yours" he said. Of course you rightly guessed my response: A massive and jubilant YES. That turned out to be my very first car, and it came by the Holy Ghost. Few months later, Pastor Chris was having a Mega Program in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. I planned and got set to attend. And this time, I would be travelling in my own car, instead of public transport. In the morning that I was to set out on my journey to Benin City, a thought crossed my mind: "Why travel to Benin with an empty boot. Why not buy baskets of tomatoes as gifts to give out, when you get to Benin?" Without pondering over the thought longer, I concluded that it was wise. So I set out to the Vegetable Market in Abuja, bought three baskets full of luscious tomatoes and began my journey. It was quite late when I arrived Benin, so I decided to give out the baskets of tomatoes before I head home. The closest recipient to me was the Deacon who gifted me with the car few months earlier. They appreciated the basket of tomatoes. Next, I headed to the Church Office in Benin to hand a basket to Pastor Joy Amenkhienan (for the Most Rev. Tom and Pastor Joy were in Benin at the time). On reaching the church office, a staff told me that Pastor Joy was not available; that I should hold on to the basket of tomatoes. After taking my details, she promised to reach Pastor Joy and get back to me. Thus I went home and gave the third basket of tomatoes to my mum, as I earlier planned. The next morning, very early, I was jolted out of my sleep by several phone calls. I recognized the voice of this staff that was calling. It was someone I knew quite well. She said "Pastor Uyi, please where are you?" "I'm at home" I answered. Then she said "Please how fast can you come to the office with the basket of tomatoes? "Immediately" I said, then headed to the office to deliver it! On arrival, this staff got into my car quickly and said "let me take you to where you will drop the basket." Ofcourse I obliged, but on our way, she began to quiz me intensely. "Why did you decide to give Pastor Joy a basket of tomatoes? Why tomatoes?" I responded with a smile. Again, she said "Seriously why tomatoes, did Pastor Joy call you?" "Definitely not" I replied. "Okay, did anybody call you?" she asked. Now I was concerned, but at that moment, we had just arrived at the front of the house where I was to drop the basket. We horned at the gate to announce our presence and immediately the gates were opened. I saw a crowd of women waiting to receive us with Pastor Joy, herself, leading them. They were all beaming with smiles as Pastor Joy welcomed me, then turned to the women and said, "Did I not tell you?" They all responded in jubilation and tongues. On our way back to drop the staff, I parked on the way. Now it was my turn to quiz her. And I said, "what's going on?" Then, she began to tell me the reason she had been quizzing me before: "Tomatoes had been ridiculously scarce in Benin," she said "for just five pieces of it, you'd have to dole out so much money to buy it and now no one is willing to sell." The women, needing tomatoes to prepare meals for all Ministry's guests coming for the program, had been mounting pressure on Pastor Joy. And Pastor Joy had been talking in tongues and dispatching angels on this matter. There and then, I realized that I had being a part of the miraculous ... without knowing it. It was just a good idea for me, but unknown to me, the Woman of God's faith was living and active and her angels located me with a 'good idea' and hastened my steps to the Vegetable Market in Abuja. "But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" Hebrews 1:13โ€ญ-โ€ฌ14 KJV Your angels are with you even now, awaiting instructions. Be mindful of their presence and dispatch them on assignments. โ„น INSIGHT WITH PASTOR UYI July 5, 2021 ๐—œ๐—ก๐—–๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—”๐—ฆ๐—˜๐—— ๐—–๐—”๐—ฃ๐—”๐—–๐—œ๐—ง๐—ฌ Once upon a time, in the then Abuja Zone with the amiable Rev Ray Okocha in charge, our President, Rev (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome, was coming to town for a Program. ย  As expected, the entire zone was excited and mobilized for the program. Committees of different kinds were set up and series of meetings began holding almost on a daily basis. Preparations were in top gear. During one of those early intense meetings, Rev. Ray began to assign the Group Pastors to head the key committees. I was assigned to head the Transportation for the program, which was to hold at the Eagle Square in Abuja. ย  Every committee had so much to do in preparation. I began to pen down my thoughts and ideas for the Transportation unit; we were responsible for liaising with various transport outfits, securing their Mass Transit buses, and organizing to move people to and from all the Satellite towns in Abuja, from Suleja โ€“ Niger state, and as far as from Keffi in Nasarawa State. This was no childโ€™s play. ย  Yet, towards the end of that meeting while still penning my thoughts, Rev. said, โ€œPastor Uyi will head the Security Committee.โ€ ย  Instantly, I thought that he misspoke. If he had added 'alsoโ€™ to the statement above, I would have been reassured that he knew he had earlier asked me to handle transportation. ย  I convinced myself that when the minutes of the meeting would be sent, he would have realized the error and rectified it. But, when the minutes of the meeting arrived, it was exactly as he had said it the day before. ย  My concern was simple: Transportation (securing and dispersing the buses could not be done by proxy). I would have to be at the offices of the transport companies to receive, account for, and dispatch the buses to various Marshals from each Group. This was non-negotiable. ย  Security also, was crucial and sensitive. How was I to handle Transportation outside the venue and coordinate security with the tens of thousands of people expected for the Program at the venue? And to complicate matters, the Man of God had spoken with no apologies. ย  That day I understood clearly 1Samuel 30:6b ...โ€but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.โ€ ย  Two things came to my spirit as I pondered over the matter: (1). I would require divine grace for this. I required increased capacity. (2). I said to myself, there was grace present when these pronouncements were made in that meeting. I would therefore key into that grace also for the solution. ย  Not long after I accepted both reasoning, the solution dropped in my spirit: ย  When the event began, I had organized Security in such a way that with a phone call, I could get anything done in and around the venue.ย  Then I relocated to the office of the transport company to carry out my task. I felt very cool with myself as events played out smoothly on the D-day. I had received increased capacity I never had before. ย  Interestingly, about an hour to the commencement of the Program, Rev. Ray called me. "Pastor Uyi, where are you?โ€ I replied,โ€ Sir I am with the Transport Company at their bus terminal.โ€ And I went ahead to brief him on how many buses had been released to the various Groups and that we were on course. ย  โ€œThat's good,โ€ he said, "Now I want to leave the venue through the back gate, so open it." I said yes Sir and with a call, the gates were opened for him to go through, in less than 2 minutes. ย  Then I realized he knew what he was doing in the first place because I just told him that I was at the Motor Park, yet he asked me to open the gates for him, still. ย  He definitely saw and yanked out the increased capacity in me that I hadnโ€™t known was there. Beloved, we just got back from the International Cell Leaders Conference (ICLC 2021) and there was so much inspiration to go around. For many, the Holy Ghost spoke clearly; others had pictures dropped by the Spirit in their hearts; yet some saw visions, glimpses of what could be. Those were signs of the Spirit whispering "Increased Capacity.โ€ What are you going to do about it? #KINGINGแดกษชแด›สœPแด€sแด›แดส€Uสษช ๐—™๐—ข๐—Ÿ๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ช ๐—ง๐—›๐—œ๐—ฆ ๐—ฆ๐—จ๐—ฃ๐—˜๐—ฅ๐—จ๐—ฆ๐—˜๐—ฅ ๐—”๐—–๐—–๐—ข๐—จ๐—ก๐—ง
