PERFECTED IN RIGHTEOUSNESS BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry… (Ephesians 4:11-12). Our righteousness is of God, therefore it’s perfect. We didn’t have to qualify by ourselves; Jesus Christ qualified us before the Father to become partakers of the divine nature; to become partakers of His righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” How inspiring this is! Some Christians haven’t understood this; so, they see themselves as unrighteous and imperfect. But if you’re born again, you’re a saint, and that’s your nature because the One who gave birth to you is perfect. Hebrews 10:14 says, “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” Colossians 2:10 says, “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” The word “complete” means perfected; you’re perfected in Him; Christ is your perfection. You might want to ask, “Doesn’t our opening scripture suggest that the saints are not perfect, because it talks about “the perfecting of the saints?” No, that verse doesn’t mean making the saints better and more perfect; it’s translated from the Greek word ‘katartismos’ which means equipping or training the saints for the work of the ministry. Think about this: When a child is born, that child is born as perfectly human as the parents are. The child then starts growing by feeding on the right nourishment. The child needs to be trained and equipped with knowledge and the right information, to eventually function as adult humans do. That’s what Apostle Paul meant by “perfecting of the saints.” As you receive the Word of God into your spirit, you’re being equipped to function and carry out the work of the ministry; you’re being trained in the life of righteousness. The righteousness of God is in your spirit, but through the Word, you become more skilled in the doctrine, understanding, and application of your righteousness in Christ. #walkinginthelight #seasons #songs #vision #monthofsongs #leadership #empowerment #gospel #illumination #victory #greatness #talkingsession #righteousness #affirmationtrain
THE SHOUT OF VICTORY ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph (Psalm 47:1). Our opening verse is talking about the shout of victory. Some people shout out of fear, but in Christianity we shout in victory. We shout unto the Lord with the voice of triumph. It’s like the shout the children of Israel gave in conquering Jericho. As they journeyed to the Promised Land, they got to Jericho, but the city was shut with thick and imposing walls (Joshua 6:1). The Lord, however, gave Joshua the strategy to conquer Jericho. It was the “shout strategy”: And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall SHOUT WITH A GREAT SHOUT; AND THE WALL OF THE CITY SHALL FALL DOWN FLAT, AND THE PEOPLE SHALL ASCEND UP EVERY MAN STRAIGHT BEFORE HIM” (Joshua 6:2-5). When the people did as the Lord instructed, the walls came down flat (Joshua 6:20). Some people don’t understand it when we shout; it’s spiritual. The Bible tells us about Jesus, that He shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:” (1 Thessalonians 4:16). It’s like the kind of shout He gave at the tomb of Lazarus; the Bible says He yelled with a loud voice, “..Lazarus, come forth” (John 11:43). Lazarus, having been dead, and buried for four days, already believed to be putrefying, came out of the grave alive! When we shout in victory, the enemy is discomfited; the dead come back to life. Some people only shout out of fear; and that’s the wrong shout; ours is the voice of triumph. We shout ahead of the battle; ahead of the challenges; therefore, when they come, they’re walkovers. There’s no victory without a shout. When you face challenges, shout, not in exasperation, but in triumph. Even when you’re not happy, shout! Even now, shout aloud with the voice of triumph; it’s an act of faith. Shout and declare that you’ve won. The future can depend on your shouting; so don’t keep quiet; shout your victory. #perfection #alignment #excellence #greatness #autoedification #kingdom #completeness #thankyoupastorchris #benefits prayathon2020 #prayingnow

THE POWER OF TRUE WORSHIP ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory (Exodus 29:43). In worship, God talks to us. As you minister to Him, He ministers to your spirit as well. Heaven is never silent on the worshipper. When you need direction, guidance or a supernatural intervention, worship the Lord. In Acts 13:1-2, the Bible says, “…as they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Ghost said…” letting us know that the power of God’s Spirit is manifested in an atmosphere of true worship. True worship isn’t the casual rendition of your favorite Christian tunes; it’s the lifting of your heart and hands to the Lord, in reverence of His awesome majesty. It involves making confessions to His Name on the basis of who He is, in line with the revelation of His personality in the Word. The Lord Jesus, in John 4:23, outlines true worship as that which is done in spirit and in truth; meaning that you’re to worship the Father from your spirit and according to His Word. For example, His Word says, “...and the lifting up of my hands be as the evening sacrifice” (Psalm 141:2); that means one of the ways of effective worship is to lift your hands to the Lord. There’s something deeply spiritual and powerful in lifting your hands to the Lord in worship; you’re offering to Him a sacrifice of sweet-smelling savour. As you sing and bless His Name, lift your hands to Him as well, and focus on Him. Soon enough, you’ll be enraptured in the warmth of His love and the glory of His divine presence. Do this often; not only when you’re in church, but in your room, car, office—everywhere and anywhere! Recall what the Lord said to the children of Israel in our opening verse; He was referring to the place of worship. That’s where He meets you, and opens your eyes to see in the spirit and helps you receive the divine touch you need for your next level of glory. Hallelujah! #perfection #alignment #excellence #greatness #autoedification #kingdom #completeness #thankyoupastorchris #benefits prayathon2020 #prayingnow
A NEW PHASE OF INCREASED GRACE ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. But he giveth more grace… (James 4:6). The Lord is doing something beautiful in our day. We’re in a new phase in the move of the Spirit, and in this new phase, tremendous things are happening. The glory of the Lord is everywhere. His righteousness has taken over. His grace has multiplied upon the earth. Here’s what you need to know: The Bible says: “…But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound” (Romans 5:20). Yes, we hear on the news, some of the most terrible things happening in different countries around the world today. But the truth is: Satan isn’t more wicked than God is gracious. If Satan can go to high levels in his wickedness, God can go higher in His grace. God’s grace is greater than Satan’s wickedness. Even though the iniquity of man has so increased (Matthew 24:12), right now, in the realm of the spirit, there’re angels the Lord has dispatched that are more powerful, working with God’s people in leading men to righteousness. Because Satan has become so ruthless in his wickedness and evil, God also has thrown away the limits in these nations, in His pursuit of souls. Zechariah 4:6 says, “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” We’re currently in an unprecedented move of the Holy Ghost, such as has never been witnessed in the earth. God’s people are going to be passionate about Christ, about the Holy Ghost, about the written Word more than ever before. There’ll be such insatiable hunger in God’s people for the things of the Spirit. Many today who are invoking calumnies against the Church, and persecuting Christians, are going to turn to Christ like Saul of Tarsus did. He went after the Church, but the Holy Ghost went after him. Though we’re engaged in a warfare, we’re on the winning side. Satan can’t stand the move of the Spirit that’s going on in our day. So be bold and encouraged to preach the Gospel without fear. The Word of God in your mouth is God talking; nothing can stop it. BE FAITHFUL WITH THE ANOINTING ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you...(1 John 2:27). As a child of God, there's an anointing on your life; it's a divine enablement. Many mistake the anointing for the Spirit, but the anointing isn't the Spirit. The Spirit gives the anointing: the anointing is a divine power. It's that power of God that heals, delivers, removes burdens, and causes you to prosper. It brings you victory. It opens doors for you. It uplifts you, and causes you to fulfil the will of the Father. It accomplishes works beyond your human ability. Another beautiful thing is that the anointing on your life can increase. Sometimes, people want to do more; they want to make more impact with the Gospel by reaching more people. Yes; that's possible and commendable, but you need increased grace. God will have to increase the authority given to you; but first, you must be faithful with what you already have. If you're faithful in using what you currently have, then He'll cause a new anointing to come on you. If you're a leader in the house of God, for instance, and the Lord has committed fifty members to you to lead, be committed in praying and interceding for those fifty as you would for fifty thousand. If you're not faithful with the fifty, even if you fast and pray for increase in membership, it may never happen, because the anointing can't be increased without faithfulness. Jesus said in Luke 16:10, "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much." It's a spiritual principle. Choose to be faithful with whatever the Lord has committed to your hands. Don't despise little beginnings, because your faithfulness with, and to that which may seem "little" today is what will take you to the next level. #songs #reflection #alignment #reign #excellence #greatness #perfection #instruction #autoedification #influence #discipline #prayathon2020 #worship #consciousness #thankyoupastorchris #affirmationtrain #talkingsession
