SINGING AND MAKING MELODY TO THE LORD. - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DD. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:18-19). Singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord is one of the ways to continually stay filled with the Spirit. Oftentimes, the Holy Spirit drops a song in your heart; you could wake up with a particular tune or melody in your spirit. Whenever that happens, don’t suppress it; get in the flow of the Spirit and minister unto the Lord. There’s so much power in music, especially when rendered unto the Lord. It’s one of the spiritual weapons with which we prevail in the fight of faith: read the example of Paul and Silas in Acts 16:25-26. When you face challenges, sing unto the Lord! Sing until faith is stirred in your spirit. Sing with the spirit, and sing with the understanding also (1 Corinthians 14:15). Then, just like the prophet Ezekiel prophesied, the Spirit will stir you up, and set you upon your feet (Ezekiel 2:2). He’ll stir up words in you like, “Greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world.” Before long, you’re “lost” in the Holy Ghost, worshipping and singing in tongues. You can stir up faith from within even now, by singing the right spiritual songs, and the business that was said to be dead will revive. The finances that were down will suddenly receive a supernatural boost! All these and more can happen by the power of the Holy Spirit, if you’d act on the Word; if you’d sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord as the Word instructs. YOUR WORDS DEFINE YOUR LIFE ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Say only what helps, each word a gift (Ephesians 4:29 MSG). It’s sad when people aren’t careful with their words. Imagine someone who keeps saying, “I just don’t know what’s going on with my life; nothing seems to be working. Worst still, I have a problem controlling my mind, my thoughts, and my emotions.” You shouldn’t talk like that. If that has been your experience, it doesn’t mean your experience should control you. Don’t voice the negatives. Your speech dictates the circumstances of your life. If you say you have no control, you’ll lose control. If you say you’ve got problems, then you’ll really have them. The life that we received in Christ is an excellent one; it’s glorious and extraordinary; it’s the transcendent life. Your speech should be consistent with that life. The main reason many people have their lives upside down is because they don’t talk right. Our opening verse says, “Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth….” Sometimes you hear a Christian say, “We were doing well two weeks back, but suddenly things just went down.” Some others, because of their experience, would say, “You know, things can’t just be rosy all through; you win some, you lose some; sometimes up, sometimes down.” A Christian shouldn’t talk like that. You’re born to win always! You’re built for success; it’s part of your makeup. Talk that way! Refuse to be defeated! Refuse to be weak! Get yourself together and declare, “I’m a success! I was born to reveal the glory of God! My life is upward and forward only!” Control the circumstances of your life with your tongue. Don’t wait; start it now if you’ve not been doing it. Your mouth was given to you to chart your course in life. If your words are disorderly, your life will go in that direction; if your words are excellent, your life will go accordingly as well. The character of your words is the character of your personality. So, watch your words! No man ever got better than his words; your life is the expression, the manifestation, and the reflection, of your words. Words define your life and your value. #perfection #wehavemoved #blessings #love #talkingsession #ministry #glorified #loveworld #affirmationtrain #flourish #prayingnow #europeforjesus #thankyoupastorchris #prayathon2020

EXCELLENCE REQUIRES DISCIPLINE BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men (Proverbs 22:29). When it comes to the quality of your work, it’s either what you do is excellent or it’s lackluster. As a child of God, whatever you do, wherever you work, make up your mind to be excellent, because you’re of an excellent spirit. Tell yourself, “If it’s not excellent, I’m not done.” Everything you do and are involved with must be the best, because you’re a child of the best. Don’t settle for average. To be excellent, you’ve got to practise it. If you’re a structural engineer, for example, don’t construct mediocre structures; structures that can’t, and wouldn’t stand the test. Go all out to apply the right engineering principles and technology to build quality design and construction. Refuse to cut corners; use only the best materials. “I’m only a janitor!” someone might say, but it makes no difference. Be excellent. Discipline yourself well enough to carry out your responsibilities with due diligence. Follow the standard operating procedures and use your checklists. Carry out detailed research on your work, on the right tools and materials you need to make you the best and the preferred amongst many other great options. Distinguish yourself as someone with an excellent spirit. The Bible says concerning Daniel, “…an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm” (Daniel 6:3). Yes. Excellence makes you a leader, but it requires discipline. The Bible says, “And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things…” (1 Corinthians 9:25). The word, “temperate” means discipline, to have self-control. 1 Corinthians 9:27, “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection….” Again, this refers to discipline; subjecting yourself to the right and necessary trainings, and sometimes rigours, in order to be the best at what you do. There’s excellence in your spirit, and it’ll manifest in all you do as you carry out your assignments with a lot more diligence. #perfection #wehavemoved #Truth #talkingsession #affirmationtrain #loveworld #alignment #excellence #communionservice #completeness #thankyoupastorchris #ministry

YOUR IMAGINATIVE POWER. Your imaginative power is your creative ability. Every so often, shut your eyes and meditate ; contrive pictures of great things; possibilities from the Word of God, and begin to speak them forth. With this principle you can create a beautiful life for yourself and those around you. It's one of the many reasons and benefits of prayer, because when you pray, you see visions of the Spirit. When you see those visions, write them down, and bring them to pass with your faith-filled Proclamation hallelujah 🙌 remain blessed and favoured. @mediaactivist4christ #mediaactivist4christ #pastorChris #mediaactivist #MerryChristmas #christmasevewithpastorchris #christmaseveservicewithpastorchris #Thanksgiving #HappyNewYear #2020yearofpefection #enter2020withpastorchris
