CAN AN UNBELIEVER BE BETTER THAN A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN? "To think that an unbeliever can be better than a Christian is a lie from hell!" stated our Esteemed Zonal Director categorically this morning, as she continued on the topic: Character, Integrity, Discipline and Excellence (Click here for introduction: https://www.kingsch.at/p/SUUyZC9 ). She explained that believing otherwise is a repudiation of all Christ came to do. What distinguishes the Christian and the unbeliever is nature; one of them is light and the other is darkness. Hence, no matter how nice the unbeliever is, he can't be better than the one who is born again. WHAT DEFINES GOOD CHARACTER 1. Godliness Godliness is the foundational element of a good character. Reading from 2 Peter 1:4, she explained that our character should stem from the fact that we're partakers of the divine nature of God and can thus behave like God. What makes it possible for a man to be godly isn't his actions, but because he has the nature of God. It therefore becomes right for people to expect godliness from us because that's our nature. Scripture references- Titus 2:12, 2 Peter 2:9, Ephesians 5:1 and 3 John 1:6 What Is Good Character? ‘Good’ character can mean different things to different people. However, according to the Scriptures, the following qualities define good character: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:18- 25 NIV). These qualities should be our description She added that we have perfection in our spirit and we should let it come to the fore with the power of our mind. In this month of Aheadship, we have increased supremacy and it should be matched with character. Glory to God! Display the excellencies of your true nature as you go out this week. Remember to join the prayer and fasting programs through your groups. #CELVZ
Dear Pastor Yemi Akinwunmi, thank you for all you do for the Master, in Ministry and for our Man of God. You lead always in all that concerns you today and always. Happy Birthday to you. We Love you dearly.
Prayer Is Unrestricted Influence... Yesterday being the first Sunday in the month of May, marked the beginning of many glorious things to come in the CELVZ. One of which was the start of the CELVZ's 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Our Highly esteemed Pastor Yemisi Kudehinbu exhorted the brethren on the importance of prayer and fasting, admonishing us to make the most of this time. Here are some nuggets on her admonition on prayer and fasting. Proverbs 4:18 shows us that our Light isn't a constant beam, but it shines with ever-increasing intensity and during this time of 21 days of prayer and fasting in the CELVZ, our light will shine even brighter. ✓ Prayer is an unrestricted influence in the realm of the Spirit and it creates a force around you that causes changes. The more you pray, the more your force field saturates your environment with the awareness and desire for God. ✓ Prayer doesn't make you more powerful, but it helps you become a more effective Christian. In prayer, you're carrying out ministry but you're being ministered to as well. ✓ Prayer intensifies the reach of your light. As your light shines, darkness is repelled and strongholds are destroyed. Through Prayers, we dispel the force of discouragement and people become more open to the Gospel. ✓ Fasting is a spiritual exercise that gets your spirit more attuned to God and helps you build a strong desire for change. Good has been determined for you; doors are opened for you but you need clarity to see and enter through. Your prophecies have been established, it's time to walk in the reality of them. It’s time to water your seeds and walk in the manifestation of your harvest. During this time of prayers, get ready to get specific guidance on the things you're doing, your ministry, business, projects, etc. For information on prayer times and participation at the care group level, please contact your care group leader or send an email to email@example.com. Don’t forget to join our midweek service from wherever you are on Wednesday. God bless you.
