IT'S OUR MONTH OF LEADERSHIP. “WORTHY OF HIM…AND FRUITFUL IN EVERY GOOD WORK” - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10). This is so powerful. The Holy Spirit inspired the Apostle Paul to pray this prayer for the Colossian Church. Notice the purpose of this beautiful, Spirit-inspired prayer: “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10). This is God’s desire: He wants you to walk worthy of Him, pleasing Him in all things. That means when people see you, or are listening to you, they’ll testify of His goodness, because you’ve become the expression and testimony of His grace, greatness and love; the expression of His beauty. The Lord Jesus said something that buttresses this in John 15:5; He said, “I am the vine, ye are the branches….” We’re His extension, His beauty, and His glory. The glory of a tree is in its branches. So if Jesus says He’s the vine and we’re the branches, He’s therefore saying His glory is seen in, and borne by, us. So everywhere you go, you’re showing forth His glory, pleasing Him in all things, and fruitful in every good work. It doesn’t matter what’s been assigned to you to do; you can be productive, effective and fruitful in that assignment. It’s part of our heritage in Christ. When we get involved in anything, it comes outright; growth, increase, progress and prosperity sets in. If that thing was a wilderness before we came, it be comes a “fruitful field,” and the fruitful field becomes a “forest.” Halleluiah! You're not ordinary; when you arrive in a place, Christ has arrived! That’s the reason you can be fruitful in every good work. When you’re given a responsibility, or an official assignment, don't say, “I don't understand why I’m being asked to do this”; no! Don’t think or talk that way! Rather, see yourself as the right candidate for the job, and go ahead to make it a success. #leadership #talkingsession #productive #forgeahead #goodnews #loveworld #affirmationtrain #advantage

A MYSTERY TO THE ANGELS BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor (Psalm 8:4-5 ASV). I’m ever so awed by the wisdom and greatness of our God. To think that He’d choose us—the new creation—to be His partners in executing His master-plan of salvation for the world beggars the imagination. The greatest of it all, which the angels themselves are amazed at, is that this great God of glory would call us into fellowship with Himself through the Holy Spirit, and give us the Holy Spirit to live in us. The angels haven’t got over that yet; they’re still seeking to understand its implication. The angels of God are glorious beings; they know who they are: they’re mighty, and excellent in glory, but they’re amazed at what God has done for and with us, because as glorious as they are, God doesn’t live in them. However, as "unworthy" as we were, He gave us a new life and made us His living tabernacles. This is a mystery to the angels; they don’t understand the reason for this yet. And guess what! God chose us to explain it to them. Every time we preach Jesus, and teach about the Holy Spirit, the angels listen. They love it! Because it’s something they only know about from the Scripture, but they don’t have the experience; they don’t know what it’s like; so they hear it from us. Read this beautiful verse: "To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God" (Ephesians 3:10). This is the Apostle Paul writing to the Church; we’re the ones from whom the principalities and powers in heavenly places get to know the mysteries of God, and His multifaceted wisdom. The Bible lets us know that the angels would have given anything to be in on this (1 Peter 1:12), but we’ve been chosen to explain the mysteries to them. Since this is part of our responsibilities as God’s children, it means we must know the Word, live in the Word, and live out the Word, as the expression of the living Word. #leadership #may #insight #angels #gospel #talkingsession #affirmationtrain

IT’S OUR MONTH OF LEADERSHIP. TAKE UP HIS CONCERNS BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you (John 20:21). Each one of us has a divine responsibility in Christ, to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. We’re the ones expected to win the world for Jesus Christ, and we have to do everything necessary to make that happen. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” His concerns must be our concerns. What He cares about is what we should care about; otherwise, our lives will be empty. Life is nothing without God’s purpose. Think about it: your forebears were here, but they’re gone; then the next ones came and now they’re gone also, and the list is endless, until it finally got to you. So, the question is, “What are you doing here?” Jesus said, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37). Your purpose for life is very important; God’s purpose for your life is primarily for you to be His agent of salvation and partner in winning others to Christ. Be definite about this. Live for this cause. Most people live their lives without ever discovering why they were born; they just walk through life and all they think about is themselves. There isn’t a worse life than that of a selfish man who only thinks of himself. Your prayers shouldn’t be only about you, your family, your job, your needs, and everything else that has to do with you. Take up the Lord’s concerns and intercede for lost souls. The Bible says He wishes not that any person should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). This can only be if you take up your role as a soul-winner and an intercessor. #leadership #forgeahead #takeup #hisconcerns #soulwinner #prayers #talkingsession #affirmationtrain

IT'S OUR MONTH OF LEADERSHIP. ANOINTED TO PRODUCE… BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. You did not choose me. I chose you and sent you out to produce fruit, the kind of fruit that will last. Then my Father will give you whatever you ask for in my name (John 15:16 CEV). Isn't it wonderful to know that the Lord Jesus chose and ordained you to produce abiding fruits: results that stand the test of time? Whatever you do is expected to succeed and “abide”; that means others can build on your success, and take it to the next level; that's the way your life should be. The Bible tells us about Joseph who was brought into the house of Potiphar as a slave. However, because the Lord was with him, everything he did prospered. He was prosperous and effective. When his master, Potiphar, saw this, he promptly made Joseph the overseer over his house. Potiphar recognized that Joseph was blessed to produce lasting results. The anointing is on your life by the Holy Spirit to bring about excellence in everything you do. Become conscious of this. Whatever you’re required to do should be a success because you’re a child of God, and you’re fashioned for good works. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” There’s something about you that makes every task that’s assigned to you a success. Success and excellence are in your spirit, they’re your heritage in Christ. Therefore, keep bearing fruits. Keep winning. Remain effective. Wherever you find yourself, make a difference. Joseph’s excellence wasn’t discovered when he became the boss; it was discovered while he was a slave. He only became the boss because of his effectiveness. The Spirit of God in you makes you an effective and efficient person: “But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” (Acts 1:8 AMP). You're anointed to win, and to make things work; you're anointed, not just to produce results, but lasting results; enduring legacy. Glory to God! #leadership #forgeahead #dosomething #preach #thegospel #loveworld #hallelujah
