The Mysteries of the Kingdom - Pastor Chris The momentum at the ongoing International Cell Leaders Conference (ICLC) in Lagos, Nigeria took a different turn with the excitement that greeted the introduction of a teaching titled mystery of the Kingdom of Heaven among God’s elect which highlights the realities of the realities of the divine life of a Christian. Pastor Chris who shared from the book of Ephesians chapter 5:25-30, drew a direct connection from the message of Apostle Paul to the Ephesian church, linking the charge to husbands loving their wives as their own bodies, to the mystery of the Church’s oneness with Christ. Explaining further on the marriage union where two become one flesh, the delegates were launched into higher realms of revelation knowledge when Pastor Chris dwelt on verse 30, emphasising the reality that the church is indeed ‘A member of Christ’s body, His flesh and His bones’. As the session progressed, this union with Christ was given more vent as Pastor Chris reminded the delegates of who they really are. In his words “Your hands are His hands, your limbs are His limbs. You are now His physical representation in the world today”. According to him, this is because God can actually be manifested in the world, using any means He chooses. He did it with Abraham in the book of Genesis 18, when He appeared as a man to him, accompanied by two other men.  He reiterates his message on the Two Kind of Lights, showing the delegates that indeed, Jesus Christ is the Sun of righteousness who will appear from heaven with the Stars that will appear with him. In his question, who are the stars? He gave an answer as he quoted from Daniel 12:3 ‘…They that turn many to righteousness will shine as the stars forever’. In other words, we are the Stars that will appear with Jesus who is the Sun of righteousness. Continuing, he noted that the kingdom mysteries are like the realities of the divine life of a Christian whose words are like particles in the realm of the Spirit, the possibility of living a worry free life as one learns to imbibe the mind of a child, the physical circumstances of the life of a child of God, being the result of the workings of his mind, and so much more. The Quality of Our Work Must Last for Eternity - Pastor Lanre Alabi At the ongoing ICLC 2019 where delegates are being pumped with the word for greater exploits, esteemed Pastor Lanre Alabi, the Director of Church Growth International brought every leader's attention to an important and vital aspect of the work in his message titled 'Building for Eternity.'  Pastor Lanre showed from scriptures that all we do for the Lord will be tested by fire, and as such, our work must last. The quality of our work must last for eternity. Citing 1 Corinthians 3:6‭-‬15 (KJV), the Director of Church Growth International shared on the importance of making lasting impact from the verses below. I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.  Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.  For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.  According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.  Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;  Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.  If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Will your work survive? Teaching further, Pastor Lanre shared on 5 things to consider in building a lasting work for the kingdom. 1) Build with the Word. Luke 6:47. Let the foundation be upon the rock. Nothing builds like the word. You can't build on philosophy or ideas.  Acts 20:32. Truth is consistent. 2) Build with love for Jesus. It purifies your motives. The effort you're putting in must be based on the love for the Master.  2 Corinthians 5:14-16. Spread the agenda of the Master. You're not motivated by vain glory. What's your motive? Let the motivation not be offensive to God. Hebrews 6:10. God doesn't forget your labour of love. 3) Build with the Spirit. John 6:23. You can't offer spiritual things to God without it. 4) Build with the consciousness of value. We're talking about lives that you're building. How much can you sacrifice to build them? Have and express good value for those God has trusted you with. Nothing will be too much. Revelation 1:5. Acts 20:28. You're an overseer of those purchased with the blood of Jesus Christ. People matter to Jesus. The ministry is about people. Will the time people spend with you add to their eternity? Don't let it be counted as a loss. What becomes of those that encounter you? Add value and have value for them. 5) Build them to be Soul Winners.  Daniel 12:3. Guarantee their eternity this way. 6) Build with our materials, structure and followership. This will produce results that last. Do everything decently and in order. Raise them to be like our man of God. He ended his message with comforting scriptures letting the leaders know that the Lord is with us all the way. He has started this good work in us and will perfect it, and He is able to keep us from falling. Glory to God!
