IT'S OUR YEAR OF LIGHTS! LIGHT THROUGH DARKNESS BY REV. (DR.) CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising (Isaiah 60:1-3). Have you ever wondered why there’re people who are desperately wicked, and treat others with such cruelty? Like what happened several years ago in Sierra Leone, where many had their limbs amputated, including babies. I recall watching a documentary where some of the victims narrated their ordeal. The perpetrators, some of whom were boy-soldiers conscripted to wreak the havoc, had no restraint. They acted with inhuman heartlessness and wickedness. Such injurious and vicious acts of cruelty don’t happen by themselves; they’re orchestrated by demonical forces over whom we have authority in the Name of Jesus. As a child of God, therefore, you must continually exercise your authority in the Name of Jesus against the demonic powers that lure men into such acts of wickedness, breaking their influence over the people. In Mark 16:17, Jesus said concerning the believing ones, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils…." Then in Matthew 5:14 He said, "Ye are the light of the world…." The dark places of the earth may have been filled with habitations of cruelty, but we can do something about it. So don’t be quiet. We’re the light in a dark world. You don’t have to be physically domiciled in these turbulent regions, but you can effect changes from where you are through authoritative prayers in the Name of Jesus. You have the power to frustrate the evil one, and insist that the peace of God governs the nations, and rules in men’s heart. Pray specially today for those in war-torn regions, especially children, who have been displaced due to these senseless acts of violence. Pray that they’d find comfort and peace in the Lord, and that through the intervention of the Spirit and the activities of angels, many would be guided to receive salvation. #mydestiny #prearranged #greatness #success #excellence #prosperous #hear #see #sticktotheword #glory #insight #talkingsessions #stirred #godsword #affirmationnation #lights #illumination #wonders #signs #victorywalk #boldness

IT'S OUR YEAR OF LIGHTS! THE LIGHT AND HOPE OF THE WORLD BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’s (Obadiah 1:21). When the Bible says, “saviours shall come up from mount Zion,” it brings to mind the words of Jesus that you’re the salt of the earth, and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13 & 14). This means that it makes no difference the darkness and problems in the world, you’re the hope and the solution that the world needs. The problems and hardship in the world today are your opportunities to shine and manifest the glory of God. No wonder Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”(Matthew 5:16). He said in John 9:5, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Then in Matthew 5:14, He said, “Ye are the light of the world….”That means, like Him, you’re a saviour to your world; as long as you’re in the world, you’re the light of the world. What does light do? Light gives direction; it describes. You’re the one to show the world how to live, what to do, and how to be successful, irrespective of the darkness, because Philippians 2:15 says, “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.” In John 8:12, Jesus said, “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”Then in John 20:21, He said, “…as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” The Lord Jesus did His part in obtaining salvation for all men through His vicarious death and glorious resurrection. Now, it’s your responsibility to tell others about His saving power. That, really, is the solution to the problems in today’s world: the Gospel of Jesus Christ! There’s no greater light than the light of His righteousness with which we must light up everyone in our world. Let the Gospel-fire burn in you, and through you; you’re God’s hands of love, mercy and compassion to the world. You’re the light and hope of the world! #affirmationtrain #talkingsession #light #illumination #leadership #empowerment #signs #wonders #loveworld #pastorchristeaching #higherlife

DON'T DESPISE PROPHECY - REV. (DR.) CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues (1 Corinthians 14:39). In Acts 2:17 Peter quoted the words of the prophet Joel: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy….” This was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came. In Acts 1:8, Jesus said you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. One of the ways to put that power to work is through the gift of prophecy. The gift of prophecy is a door to the supernatural; it’s a way to bring the supernatural power of God into your life, finances, job, or congregation if you’re a minister of the Gospel. Therefore, you must learn to prophesy! If you speak in tongues long enough, the anointing will come on you to prophesy; the Word of God will bubble up within you. And when that anointing comes on you, with the Word boiling inside you, give it vent; let it out. That’s prophecy. To prophesy is to speak words that have divine potency; words that have life; so, don’t despise prophecy. Prophecy is like a guiding light. It was through prophecy that the people knew about the coming of Jesus. There were so many prophecies that the Saviour—the Messiah—would come. The only proof that God had for the people to recognize and say, “This is the messiah,” was His Word spoken by the prophets about Christ—the Messiah. Prophecy is vital. Have there been prophecies about your life? Paul said to Timothy, “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare” (1 Timothy 1:18). Make war with those prophecies. Take every word of prophecy concerning your life seriously. Write them down, so you don’t forget, and chart your course with the creative power of God’s Word in your mouth. #gathering #sheaves #celebrating #riches #instruction #autoedification #reflection #influence #supernatural #affirmationtrain
